Q. What is AZ Dental Pros?

AZ Dental Pros is a training organization dedicated to equipping dentists and dental hygienists in Arizona with comprehensive education and hands-on experience in administering Botox and Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers. Their mission is to empower dental professionals to expand their scope of practice safely and ethically, enhancing both therapeutic and aesthetic patient care.

Q. Who can enroll in your certification courses?

The courses are specifically designed for licensed dentists and dental hygienists practicing in Arizona. They focus on ensuring that all participants operate within the legal scope of practice as outlined in the Arizona Dental Practice Act.

Q: Is AZDP accredited?

  • Yes, AZDP courses provide credit through Academy of General Dentistry P.A.C.E.

Q: Where do you hold your courses?

  • All of our courses are held in a dental office - the same setting you’ll be injecting! We find that this provides the most closely simulated experience for maximum preparation. No hotel conference rooms. No large groups in training centers. All of our trainings are small with 1:3 instructor:trainee ratio or lower.

Q: When will I receive course completion certificates and continuing education credits?

  • Course completion certificate will be given to you at the end of the hands-on intensive day. Continuing education verification will be sent to you via email on or within 3 days of completion of the hands-on intensive.

Q: Can I share my course materials with other healthcare professionals?

  • No. Please, don’t. Sharing your on-demand access or course materials given to you before, during, or after the class. This content was created through long hours, much effort and at great expense. If you’d like to share something, please ask first. It’s also always appreciated if you refer you colleagues to take the course!

Q: What are the legal requirements or licenses necessary for adding injectables to my practice?

  • At AZDP we tailor our classes to the needs of dental professionals. While we can train Dental Pros from other states, or guidelines align with the regulations set forth by the Arizona board of dental examiners

    • DENTIST: The requirement for dentist is to complete 12 CEU per three year licensing cycle. No specific training prior to injecting is mandated in the rules, however any inquiry from BODEX would very likely begin with asking for proof of training in the procedures you’re performing.

    • HYGIENIST: Dental hygienist may perform a procedure including botulinum toxin type A or dermal fillers, when all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  1. The procedure is recommended or prescribed by the supervising dentist;

  2. The dental hygienist has received certification instruction, training, or education

  3. The procedure is performed under the general supervision of a licensed dentist.

Q. What does the certification course include?

  • A detailed pre-training manual for foundational knowledge.

  • A full day (minimum 7 hours) of hands-on training with live models.

  • One-on-one instruction and feedback throughout the session.

  • Practice of nine different injection procedures tailored for dental professionals.

  • All necessary supplies for the class (excluding injectable products, which are purchased by models at a discounted rate).

  • A low trainer-to-trainee ratio, typically 1:3, ensuring personalized guidance.

  • No limit on the quantity of injectables used for practice during the session.

  • Comprehensive consent forms, pre-care, and post-care information.

  • Ongoing support after training completion.

Q.  What injection areas are covered in the training?

  • Botulinum Neurotoxin Injections: Forehead, glabella, crow's feet, eyebrow lift, gummy smile, and masseter muscle for bruxism treatment.

  • Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler Injections: Cheeks/midface, lips, marionette lines, and smile lines.

Q.  How much does the certification course cost?

  • The dual certification course for Neuromodulator (Botox) and Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers is priced at $1,995.

Q.  Do you offer additional support after the course?

Yes, AZ Dental Pros provides ongoing support, including:

  • Implementation and business coaching.

  • Guidance on utilizing dental hygienists as injectors within your practice.

  • Team training for consistent understanding and communication.

  • Assistance in creating policy and procedure manuals.

  • Mentorship programs with experienced trainers.

  • Complications training and written protocols.

Q. Where are the training sessions held?

Training sessions are conducted in existing dental offices across Arizona. This approach helps keep costs low and ensures a practical learning environment.

Q: Can I pay for courses with a credit or debit card?

Yes, participants may pay with a credit or debit card. Participants may also pay through

Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle and Cash.

Q: Will I need a model patient for the training courses?

Yes. You should bring your own model patient for the best learning experience. AZ Dental Pros does not provide model patients.

Q: Who can serve as model patients?

Anyone can serve as a model patient. We recommend that models are people that you know, have no medical contraindications, and are available for a two week follow up.
